EU: suspend trade with Israel

EU: suspend trade with Israel

Two cargo containers side by side, one with the Israeli flag and another with the EU flag.

On July 15, EU foreign ministers failed to suspend trade with Israel — a move that would have become the most significant accountability step taken against Israel.

EU leaders continue to bend over backwards to appease Israel — hoping that if they push for a bit more aid to come in, no one will notice they’re refusing real measures like trade suspensions or sanctions that could have stopped Israel's illegal occupation decades ago.

They’re using Palestinian starvation as moral cover for complicity. Let’s show them we’re not buying it.

Let’s flood their feeds and call for real action — not more excuses. This is our moment to shift history in just a few clicks. Suggested messaging below.

STEP 1: Share + tag EU leaders

Just weeks ago, we spoke to Dr. Al-Hams who made a powerful plea to EU leaders. On 21 July he was abducted by Israeli forces in a deadly raid.

We need a massive public outcry.

Demand:

- The immediate release of Dr. Al-Hams

- Suspend trade with Israel now

STEP 2: Call EU High Representative Kaja Kallas – Flood her phonelines

Phone calls work — studies show they’re one of the most effective ways to pressure decision-makers. Let’s make sure Kaja Kallas hears us loud and clear.

  • Main phone: +32-229-64066
  • Vivian Loonela, Head of Cabinet phone: +32 2 29 90956

STEP 3: Email the decision makers

Now for maximum pressure use our one-click tool to send an urgent message to the EU foreign ministers and their staff.

Suggested Messaging: The more personal your message, the more powerful it will be.

  • Dr. Marwan Al-Hams called on EU leaders to suspend trade — and they ignored him. His abduction and his future is their responsibility to hold.
  • No more excuses!: EU leaders have the mandate to act — no more excuses or stalling, suspend trade now.
  • Stop covering for Israel: A trickle of “aid” doesn’t excuse EU inaction — real accountability is on the table.
  • The EU faces a choice: Uphold international law — or keep funding mass atrocities in Gaza.
  • No more business as usual: Israel is violating every human right the EU claims to protect and continues to bankroll war crimes while Israel bombs hospitals and blocks aid. Suspend the EU-Israel trade agreement — or be complicit.
  • The law is clear: Respect for human rights is not optional — it’s written into Article 2 of the EU-Israel agreement. Enforce it. Suspend trade.

Thank you so much!
