It has rainbows and unicorns and children’s music.
But it’s actually an ad from the Israeli foreign ministry claiming “just as you would do everything for your child. We will do everything to protect ours.
This YouTube ad is an attempt for the Israeli government to justify its killing of children and innocent civilians in Gaza. So far over 1000 children in Gaza have died from the Israeli government's bombs in just the past week.
It’s truly outrageous that YouTube is allowing these ads. Let’s urgently call on the company to remove them and stop promoting Israel's war propaganda:
Tell Youtube: remove ads promoting Israel’s war in Gaza.
As Israel bombs Gaza, it has cut water, food, electricity, medicine and fuel. On top of that, people in Gaza have nowhere to flee to. Experts warn that these extreme measures against Palestinians in Gaza are the early signs of genocide.
YouTube claims the ads don’t violate its policies but it’s time the company take a closer look. Ads promoting violence to “do everything to protect ours” is attempting to justify the killing of other children.
This wouldn’t be the first time a tech company has helped fan the flames of genocide. Meta is also being investigated by the International Criminal Court for it's role in the genocide against the Rohingya people in Myanmar.
YouTube could capitulate to Israel and be complicit in, at a minimum, war crimes. Or it could do the right thing by banning all ads promoting violence.
Add your name and when enough join to make a difference, we’ll expose YouTube’s complicity in this awful war:
Tell Youtube: remove ads promoting Israel’s war in Gaza.
