Step 2: If you get a chance to ask a question or raise the issue, here some things you might want to speak about:
- Mention that you are a constituent.
- Explain that you are deeply concerned about the $66 billion mega-merger between Bayer and Monsanto.
- We’ve seen what their practices of both companies have done to bees — which are so vital to our farms and food.
- Entire farm communities are endangered by these companies.
- Talk about what these concerns mean to yourself and your family. Make it personal.
Ask the Congressman to:
- Write the Department of Justice in opposition to the merger.
- Hold a hearing in DC on it.
- Speak out publicly about it; to not take his eye off the ball.
There is a lot going on in DC -- from Obamacare repeal to tax reform to all the various scandals -- but we just can’t let this one slip by because we were spending too much time paying attention to other things.
