Recently, we turned up to Amazon’s annual shareholder meeting and brought the voices of over 100,000 people in our community who spoke up against Amazon’s exploitation of workers.
SumOfUs members also helped submit a shareholder resolution demanding that the company audit its supply chain for human rights abuses -- just like we did last year.
Investors heard our message loud and clear: the vote for our resolution jumped from 5% last year, to 23% this year!
This is huge. Shareholders usually support the status quo. But this time, over 1 in 5 of them voted with us to stop Amazon from workers’ rights abuses.
