After years of campaigning by bee-keepers, environmentalists, and grassroots activists, the U.K. banned the use of bee-killing pesticides.
But now, the main lobbying group for agribusiness -- the National Farmers Union (NFU) -- is applying for an emergency exception that would allow these bee-killers to come back into use this year.
With scientific evidence piling up about the decline of bee populations threatening food supply, this is insanity.
The key meeting of the government body that will consider their application is on April 11 -- less than two weeks from now. Will you chip in to help stop this emergency application from going through?
