BlueTriton’s water pumping and bottling operations are worsening drought conditions that lead to wildfires.
And now it’s teaming up with The Weather Channel to try to clean up its image.
The new multi-year deal includes commercials for BlueTriton bottled water during deadly heat waves, as well as reporting from meteorologists who will simply churn out Blue Triton's spin about its sustainability efforts.
We can't let the Weather Channel help Blue Triton greenwash its image, when the truth is this greedy corporation is fueling the drought.
Sign the petition to demand that The Weather Channel cancel its partnership with BlueTriton.
While Californians have been suffering through extreme drought conditions, worsening wildfire seasons, and water usage restrictions, BlueTriton has continued to pump out over 50 million gallons of water each year from the state’s San Bernardino National Forest.
A wildfire in San Bernardino County burned 800 acres in less than 48 hours last year due to hot weather, high winds, and extremely dry conditions. BlueTriton’s corporate greed is making every person, animal, and hundred-year-old tree in the area even more vulnerable to dangerous wildfires.
And if disaster strikes this year, The Weather Channel could wind up peddling BlueTriton’s water bottles to people during a wildfire that might have been prevented had BlueTriton not taken water out of the area in the first place.
Act now to tell The Weather Channel not to cover up BlueTriton’s dangerous water theft.
