Trumpcare Kills.

Trumpcare Kills.

Trump and the GOP’s “healthcare” bill is as bad as expected -- it will leave 22 million more Americans uninsured over the next ten years. That’s 22 million more Americans losing the ability to get the life-saving care, medication, and treatment they need without shelling out outrageous sums or going into crushing debt. All the while funneling billions into the pockets of corporate executives.

We all deserve better than this. Healthcare should be non-negotiable. Taking care of our families, friends, and neighbors should be the basis of our shared community. Unfortunately, Trump and the GOP don’t seem to agree.

Here is an example of how a conversation could start (or you can just wing it!):

Hello, I’m [Your Name], I’m a constituent calling from [Your City/Country], and I would like to speak to you about Trumpcare.

There are lots of reasons you need to oppose it, here are just a few.

    1) This Bill will leave 22 million more Americans uninsured. When Americans are healthy and have access to the medications and life-saving treatments they need the economy benefits.

    2) The Bill will leave massive costs up to our state which we may not be able to afford over time and will leave thousands of your constituents without access to the care they need.

    3) Medicaid is a vitally important program for America's most vulnerable citizens. The decision to cut massive amounts of funding from this program is a people-killer.

    Thank you for your time.

    Tips:

    • Be friendly and polite - the person picking up the phone will find it hard to ignore you if you are polite.
    • Don’t feel like you have to answer any specific questions if you don’t feel comfortable.
