Major human rights groups like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch say Israel has committed genocide in Gaza. And yet the EU continues to grant them the benefits of preferential trade. That’s unacceptable.

Meanwhile, on Feb. 24th, EU and Israel’s representatives will meet to discuss trade. This disgraceful meeting cannot be business as usual. This is our moment. Spain, Slovenia, Belgium and Ireland have already spoken out. But words aren’t enough. We need them to act. They should invoke clause 2 of the EU-Israel trade agreement. This means suspending the deal until Israel respects human rights.
