If we don’t act now, as many as 40% of Europeans like you will face cancer in their lifetime. Yes, you read that right. And experts are crystal clear: “beating cancer cannot be achieved without strengthening our chemicals law.”

The EU was due to tighten up the regulations on chemical pollutants that poison us (the REACH regulation)... but this was without counting on the powerful lobbying of chemical companies.

As you read this petition, the chemical industry is stepping up its efforts to lobby a key EU country in this battle, France, to block a strong chemical regulation.

Tell the French government to act in the interest of all and not for the lobbies by taking a clear stand against the postponement of the REACH regulation review!

According to Le Monde, 654 companies are - at least - not in compliance with the EU chemicals law. How can this be possible? 

We must make it clear to EU governments that our health and ecosystems are more important than Bayer's and Co's profits.

Especially since, according to a survey commissioned by our friends at Générations Futures, more than 87% of the French are concerned about the impact of chemicals in food for your health and the environment. 

This is why we call on the French government to stand on the right side of history by refusing to bow to the industry lobbies trying to block the review of the REACH regulation. Now more than ever, if each of us can mobilize and lobby, we will be able to protect our health against the greedy interests of multinationals that poison us.
