Right now, in a Primark factory in Myanmar, a 13 year old girl is working an 11 hour day. She is one of many Primark factory workers that are subjected to forced unpaid overtime and the withholding of pay for calling in sick.
Primark thinks that it can just ignore these horrible labour abuses in the name of profit. It cares more about making millions than it does about the lives of the women and girls working in its factories.
As the garment industry expands into Myanmar, Primark is trying to take advantage of the impoverished population who are just working hard to provide for their families.
Sign today to demand an end to child labour and better working conditions at Primark factories.
The clothing industry has gotten away with these kind of labour abuses for too long now. It is time to let Primark know that enough is enough!
Primark has responded to public pressure in the past. However, without people like you holding it accountable, it will try to cut corners to make more money.
Together we can stop these horrible labour practices and improve the lives of hundreds of Myanmar factory workers.
Please join me in pressuring Primark to clean up its labour practices in Myanmar.
