Pizza Hut has been exposed for exploiting young Australian workers.
An investigation by the Fair Work Ombudsman uncovered widespread underpayment of delivery drivers. Drivers were paid as little as $5.70 per delivery and forced to cover their own fuel and car costs.
This is rampant: 90% of Pizza Hut workers were found to be underpaid.
Now CEO of Pizza Hut Australia, Lisa Ransom, is trying to shift the blame onto individual franchisees – insisting the company already does everything it can to meet their employment obligations. The Fair Work Ombudsman has called on her to sign up to compliance partnership, so the company can be properly held to account. But Pizza Hut won’t commit.
If thousands of us speak out and demand action from Pizza Hut Australia, it will force its CEO to take meaningful steps to protect delivery workers.
Can you tell Pizza Hut to stop exploiting its young workers?
