Ads decrying new legislation that would reduce drug prices are popping up all over D.C media. The ads are paid for by PhRMA, the lobby group that represents Pfizer and other big names in the pharmaceutical industry.
Pfizer wants to stop the reduction of drug prices so that it can glean the highest profits possible off the most vulnerable: those with medical conditions.
Pfizer cares about public image and has gone through measures to ensure it is not associated with these ads. By adding public pressure we can ensure that Pfizer drops the ads and supports efforts to reduce drug prices.
Tell Pfizer to stop blocking efforts at reducing drug prices.
People in the United States pay over $1000, on average, every year on prescription drugs, nearly twice more than other developed countries. It is also estimated that 20% of people will not fill prescriptions due to the high prices.
Pfizer makes drugs that people need. We can help Pfizer do the right thing by ensuring that its drugs are more accessible through price reduction legislation.
Reducing drug prices would take financial strain off millions of families but would only cut slightly into the profits of Pfizer. The benefits to the public should be more important than Pfizer's profit margins.
Please sign today to tell Pfizer to stop blocking drug price reductions.
