Climate change is speeding up. And yet, the EU is about to pass a law that could divert billions of euros from renewable energy to fossil gas and nuclear power projects. More pollution. More delays. It makes no sense!

Climate scientists now say that we only have a 50% chance of stopping a 1.5C global temperature rise.

Thankfully, the European Parliament can still reject the law that defines what investments are "green". Europe could still get this right. But we need to convince enough MEPs to vote NO in June, and reject the EU's tampered list of "green" investments.

Over 120,000 SumOfUs members like you pushed the European Commission back in 2019 and 2020 to crack down on the finance sector's fake green investments, and make the EU Sustainable Taxonomy meaningful. But the draft law today is worse than nothing at all.

We need at least 353 MEPs to vote against this proposal to block it. If the European Parliament gives it a green light, they'll be opening the door to massive investments in fossil gas and the nuclear sector at the expense of renewable energy.
