700 Palestinian children each year are arrested and detained by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) each year and these children are routinely victims of torture and violence. Meanwhile, Amazon is selling IDF costumes for Hallowe’en this year.
For as little as $23.22 you too can make light of the horrors Palestinian children experience at the hands of the IDF.
Nothing says Hallowe’en fun for kids like violent Israeli occupation and child brutality.
Tell Amazon to stop selling this horrible costume.
Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine is a humanitarian crisis. Palestinian children are routinely arrested without cause or charges, abused, and tortured to get confessions by the IDF. Yet Amazon thinks it’s OK to make light of this situation by dressing children up in IDF costumes.
Imagine a Palestinian child learning that children in America can dress up, for fun, as their abusers. As Palestinian children fear for their lives and safety at the hands of the IDF, Amazon is making a profit on these costumes. It’s disgusting.
SumOfUs members like you have been at the forefront of corporate accountability for justice in Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine. Over 150000 of you called on Airbnb to stop advertising homes in the occupied West Bank and you did a call-in to the US Senate to prevent an anti-BDS bill from going through. Now, we need to take the message to Amazon: Israel’s violent occupation of Palestine should not be celebrated through children’s Hallowe’en costumes.
Will you join me in signing today to tell Amazon to stop selling IDF costumes?
