Hundreds of families have taken mining giant Boliden to court. The Swedish corporation illegally transported unprocessed toxic waste to a site in Arica, Chile -- and left it exposed for nearly 15 YEARS.

Boliden has a lot to answer for: exposure to the deadly materials has left locals with a host of medical problems, including organ failure, cancer, and breathing problems. Medical tests have also shown high levels of arsenic in many of the plaintiff’s blood -- but Boliden is trying to wash its hands of these accusations entirely.
