Hackers attacked our donation system! We were able to fight them off, but it meant that for more than a month, a third of legitimate donations to SumOfUs failed.

The attack cost us hundreds of thousands in lost donations.

We rely almost entirely on these donations from members. If we can't make up for the loss, our big plans for the next 6 months will go out the door.

That means cancelling our campaign to block Bayer and others from exporting banned bee-killing pesticides to the Global South; eliminating a new, confidential plan to go hard after water-stealing giant Nestle; and scaling back our successful shareholder program.
