Hackers attacked the tech we use to process your donations – we were able to fight them off, but the only way to deal with it meant that a third of our legitimate credit card donation attempts failed for more than a month – costing us hundreds of thousands!
We’re not a tiny organization, but we rely almost entirely on these small donations from members. If we can’t catch up in a hurry, our plans for the next 6 months will go out the door.
It means we’d have to scrap our plan to block banned bee-killing pesticides being exported from France, eliminate a new, confidential plan to go after water-stealing giant Nestle, scale back our shareholder program – and even limit our ability to fight off the hackers if they try to take us down again.
I’d hate to see any of this amazing work go unfinished. I’d hate to see us attacked again. Can you chip in a little today to help ensure the hackers don’t win?
