A swastika banner from a neo-Nazi music label’s website: $20.
A t-shirt defending a vocally anti-semitic group: $30.
Digital payment companies preventing their services being used to fund hate: That would be Priceless!
White supremacist groups can raise money internationally like never before, and the media are starting to talk about it. But it’s not “the internet” or “social media” that’s to blame -- it’s a handful of wealthy corporations, including digital payment giants like Mastercard, PayPal, and Visa.
Enough is enough! Tell corporations like Mastercard, PayPal, and Visa to stop doing business with hate groups.
Credit card companies like MasterCard and Visa have made supporting hate groups and violence easier than ever through online donations, and are refusing to take responsibility.
In 2017, white supremacist groups in the United States used donations processed by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express to organize and lead torch-wielding mobs chanting racist slogans, terrorizing people of colour, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Two years later, digital payment companies are still investing precious little effort into cutting off funding to hate groups.
Sign the petition asking financial corporations like MasterCard, PayPal, and Visa to stop funding hate groups now.
