Canadian mining company Baru Gold is bent on extracting as much gold as possible from tiny Sangihe Island in Indonesia -- it's even willing to ignore local courts requiring it to follow environmental laws.
The gold mine presents a clear threat to islanders' water supply and agricultural lands, as well as critically endangered species such as the cerulean flycatcher and Sangihe whistler, two birds endemic only to Sangihe Island.
Together, we can create a public outcry and convince Baru Gold to scrap its plans for this dangerous gold mine on Sangihe Island -- will you sign the petition today?
