Spotify’s star podcaster Joe Rogan has been feeding Covid lies and anti-vax propaganda to his millions of devoted listeners for months.

This week rock legend, Neil Young, gave Spotify an ultimatum: Kick Rogan off the platform or take down his songs. Spotify has so far sided with disinformation super-spreader Rogan. 

Spotify’s profit-hungry execs obviously think thousands of people getting sick from Covid is a price worth paying  to keep their biggest money-spinner on their books.

Let’s show them what a massive mistake they’ve made. 

Join Neil Young and tell Spotify: “You can have me or Rogan but you can’t have both.” If enough of us threaten to cancel, we can force Spotify to change their minds.

Rogan has made a string of dangerous claims on his show, actively discouraging young people from getting the vaccine. And he’s given airtime to cranks pushing outlandish lies that the pandemic was ‘planned’ and peddling discredited Covid treatments like the horse-deworming drug, Ivermectin. 

Spotify says it needs to give creators freedom but the platform’s decision to give Rogan a free pass to push dangerous conspiracy theories which are undermining public health advice in the middle of a pandemic is indefensible.

The public backlash against Spotify is building - just last month over 270 medical professionals branded Spotify a menace to public health and demanded the company urgently publish a clear public policy on Covid disinformation on its platform.

Let’s hit Spotify’s greedy executives where it hurts. If thousands of us threaten to cancel our Spotify accounts, they’ll have to sit up and take notice.
