Imagine getting to a train station on your way to an important meeting just to discover that you cannot get on the train. This is the inexcusable reality for many disabled passengers in the UK today.
Southern Rail has cut many corners in its efforts to maximize profits, including there being drivers and conductors to assist disabled passengers on and off the trains.
This is unacceptable. All passengers should have equal access to transportation.
Tell Southern Rail to provide equal access for all passengers.
Even when going through the proper channels and booking assistance, an added detail to a disabled person’s travel plans, some passengers are still stranded at stations without assistance.
The privatization of transportation services has led to these challenges because Southern Rail puts profits before the needs of its customers. Disabled passengers have as much need for, and right to, transportation access as anyone else.
Stand for the rights of disabled people and sign today!
