Despite a history of animal abuse, an exotic animal breeder named Jerry Lee Holly was given a permit by the USDA to move a herd of 40 zebras to a farm in Maryland.
Officials say that the herd has not been given proper shelter, veterinary care, or sufficient food and water. Within months of the move, three zebras escaped. One was found dead in a nearby snare trap, and the two others are still missing. A fourth was found dead within the farm's enclosure. While cause of death is still not known, officials believe that the poor animal had been neglected for some time.
Jerry Lee Holly has been charged with three counts of animal abuse, but he still has his permit to breed exotic animals. That means that there are still dozens of zebras suffering under his "care." It also means that he is continuing to make money breeding and selling these poor creatures.
Act now to shut down Jerry Lee Holly's abusive exotic animal business!
