Shape Magazine claims to celebrate the beauty of all women regardless of race or ethnicity.
But the ultra-popular publication also advertises on Breitbart News, a website infamous for misogynistic headlines attacking women.
The right-wing website was instrumental in helping President Donald Trump get elected, even after he repeatedly body-shamed women, and worst of all, bragged about sexually assaulting them. Shape Magazine can’t claim to care about the mental and physical wellbeing of women while running ads on a website that shamelessly attacks their rights.
Sign the petition to Shape Magazine: stand up for women and girls everywhere and stop running ads on Breitbart News.
Make no mistake: Breitbart isn’t just misogynistic -- everyday it spreads messages of hate and bigotry aimed against LGBT people, Muslims, and minorities. What’s worse, it hopes to take its message even further by expanding into France, Germany and Italy in time for critical elections this year.
It already has faced critical challenges and won't be able to open up shop in France in time for the upcoming elections. Why? People power. Breitbart needs money to expand, and with over 800+ companies that have pulled ads already, Breitbart is fighting a losing battle.
But right now, let's make sure Shape magazine gets onto the right side of this issue and drops Breitbart. Let's show it that bigotry is bad for business.
Sign the petition to Shape Magazine to get with the program and stop bankrolling hate. End advertising on Breitbart immediately.
