We've written a letter below but it's much more impactful if you write something yourself. Here are some key points you can include in your letter:
- Reviewing water rates was part of the NDP elections platform and this promise needs to be honoured
- Nestlé, fracking companies and other giant corporations pay $2.25 per million litres while making billions in profits
- Referencing the new poll that says that 74% of BC residents think that industrial water rates are too low and 80% believe water rates should be increased, and 85% of BC residents think that government should not be selling our water to corporations
- After two consecutive historic fire seasons, our water should be protected not sold off for pennies
