A handful of key MEPs could swing this vote. Let’s tell them: no delays and no amendments to the deforestation law! Remind MEPs that there’s no future without forests!

• This law could be a game-changer for forest protection. In just 12 months an area of forest 14 times the size of Paris would be protected. 

• Many companies have spent many months preparing to comply with the new law, we can’t let a few vested interests - such as the timber industry - derail this important law.

• The Amazon has just witnessed the worst wildfires for two decades, burning tens of thousands of hectares of precious rainforest to the ground. 

• We must urgently act to protect what’s left - and that means protecting the EU deforestation law - no delay, no amendments.

• Mr Daniel Caspary, co-head of the German national delegation of the EPP party grouping
• Ms Dolors Montserrat, head of the Spanish national delegation and head of the EPP economy and environment working group
• Mr Tom Berendsen, head of the Netherlands national delegation of the EPP party grouping
