The Saola might be the rarest land mammal on Earth — it’s so rare that biologists have never seen it in the wild…only photos from hidden cameras!
But with a population possibly under 100 and dropping from intensive hunting, this mysterious so-called “unicorn” could disappear forever — if scientists don’t track them down soon and establish a breeding program. This is our chance to help them do just that!
An intrepid group of scientists are uniting to find the Saola in the remote, almost impassable Annamite Mountains of Laos and Vietnam, the only place on Earth the animal lives. And to do it they’re building the most specialised wildlife tracking team the region has ever seen, integrating indigenous wildlife trackers, specially-trained detection dogs, and state-of-the-art DNA tracing technology.
They’re just waiting to have enough cash to get started. It’s not every day you can help stop a species from going extinct — can you chip in to save the Saola…and protect wild spaces everywhere?
