Dear CEO of ServiceOntario and Premier of Ontario Kathleen Wynne,
If this office was closed, anyone that accessed it on foot would no longer be able to receive services that this office provides. The next closest office is much too far away to walk to. How are these people going to receive these services? This will also affect the people that are lucky enough to have the means to travel to the next nearest ServiceOntario. Suddenly a simply few minute visit to ServiceOntario will now turn into a day trip.
The employees that work the Blind River ServiceOntario office are amazingly friendly are very good at their job. Even with a lineup I was able to get in and out of the office in a very reasonable time. As we're a small community closing the office will also mean a loss of jobs, and when you're from a small community any loss of jobs is painful.
Blind River and it's surrounding areas are also prime hunting and fishing areas, and without anywhere to easily get a hunting/fishing license we may lose tourism to the larger cities that do have a ServiceOntario office.
Once again, we beseech you to rethink the closing of the Blind River ServiceOntario office.
