It's enough to make you sick to your stomach.

The New Zealand Prime Minister, John Key, just told us that the price of medicine would go up if the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) was signed.

We don't know much about the TPPA, just a few leaked documents. But what we do know is extremely concerning -- a rise in the price of life-saving medicines is just the start of what reads like a corporate wish-list.

What we have seen of the TPPA is extremely concerning. It will give massive multi-national corporations the power to decide our laws on everything from medicine to the food we eat. If we try to fight back, they'll sue our government in secret courts to claw back lost profits from us.

Corporations suing entire countries isn't rhetoric: it's happening right now.

Philip Morris, the tobacco giant, is suing Australia at this moment because of plain packaging laws designed to save the lives of everyday Aussies who would otherwise die of tobacco-related illnesses. Taxpayers there have already shelled out a whopping $50 million fighting Philip Morris in a court in Singapore.

Everything we've seen about this deal so far is bad news.
