Travel company Priceline.com is running ads on Breitbart News, the right-wing fake news website that helped get Donald Trump elected -- and denigrates minorities while promoting white nationalist ideologies.


Not only is all this ad revenue (from Priceline, Kayak, Booking.com, etc.) sponsoring hate and bigotry, it is helping Breitbart advance a specific goal: opening bureau offices in France, Germany and Italy ahead of crucial 2017 elections. Their aim is to repeat the same disruption and misinformation campaign in Europe that helped Trump get elected in the U.S.


But we have a secret weapon to stop them: people power. Together, we've already helped get 850 companies to trop Breitbart. If we come together now, we can shut off their ad revenue and stop hate in its tracks.

 
Tell Priceline to break up with Breitbart News and pull their ads from the site now.

Travel company Priceline once had a well-known tagline, "Name your own price." Unfortunately, we all pay a high price when companies like Priceline support fake news -- and fake news that incites misogyny, hatred and discrimination with it.

Breitbart is on the march. In the past week, tech 'editor' Milo Yiannopoulos has incited protests at two California university campuses, while former chairman/publisher Steve Bannon sits in the White House drafting executive orders for Trump to sign.
 
Now it is moving on Europe. Senior European Union officials believe that the site could accelerate the production of fake news in the 2017 European elections, acting as a "vehicle for weaponized information with planted stories." 
 
Fortunately, a coalition of activists is already working to starve Breitbart of funding. Over 800 corporations including Kellogg, Trip.com, and BMW have already withdrawn advertisements from Breitbart. Recently, over 300,000 SumofUs members called on Amazon to drop their ads.
 
This is our chance to turn the tide decisively against Breitbart and other fake news outlets. Let's demonstrate that there's no room for propaganda on the Internet or in government.
 
Tell Priceline to stop funding hateful propaganda and take their ads off Breitbart now.
