It's been years since Paladin Mining set up its uranium mine in Malawi and years since Malawians have complained about pollution in the waters. Yet Paladin has done nothing.
Since 2009, there have been complaints of contamination from locals who depend on Lake Malawi and its tributaries for domestic water use, agriculture and fishing. Most recently, children along a tributary river are getting sick.
Paladin is taking advantage of Malawi's poor economy and lower development standards to strip the area of uranium while poisoning its citizens.
Sign today to stop the poisoning of Lake Malawi.
Residents in Malawi have been fighting for their water since the mine opened. With your support they have a better chance of being heard.
Paladin has refused to clean up its act so far but has responded to mass public outcry in the past. Together we can force Paladin take real action in stopping poisonous emissions into Lake Malawi.
Will you join me in supporting Malawians' fight for clean water?
