An orangutan was just shot more than 70 times with an air gun on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.
Conservationists found “Hope” almost dead, with four bullets in her left eye and two in her right. She is now blind. Her one-month old baby died.
Orangutans like Hope are on the brink of extinction because of the relentless greed of massive palm oil corporations, that are tearing down orangutans’ lush home in South East Asia for profit.
I know together we can stop these corporations. Because SumOfUs members like you and me have pushed the biggest companies in the world like McDonald’s and Starbucks to commit to no-deforestation palm oil.
Sumatran orangutans are critically endangered. We need your help to transform the whole dirty palm oil industry and protect orangutans before it’s too late. A donation from you will mean we can scale up our efforts, roll out tried and true winning tactics, and win against even more companies this year.
Will you please make a donation today to clean up the palm oil industry and help protect the orangutans?
