The government of Ontario is fighting to privatize the biggest electricity provider in the province: Hydro One. 

The plan would see 60% of Hydro One shares sold off to private corporations, causing rate increases on an already stressed population, not to mention to elimination of good public sector jobs. 

Already the privatization plan has started with 30% of shares sold off and electricity prices increasing for families across the province.

It's time to put an end to this.

This privatization move has seen opposition the entire time, most recently in a lawsuit that the province is trying to dismiss. Premier Wynne wants to move forward on this foolhardy plan no matter what. 

However, with a concerted effort from people like you, we can stop it. With an election coming up in 2018, the provincial Liberals are vulnerable to public outcry. 

If we can pressure them enough, the province could change its mind and stop the privatization in its tracks.
