A whale in Thailand just died after swallowing 80 pieces of plastic rubbish.
Doctors spent 5 long days trying to save the whale who had become sick and unable to hunt after eating 8kgs of plastic. But the whale had suffered too much from the plastic and died.
This story is being repeated all around the world: millions of seabirds, turtles, seals, and sea lions die every year from plastic pollution.
Together we can stop it. Incredible SumOfUs members have successfully pushed brands like Starbucks and Pret a Manger to cut plastics.
But to rise to the challenge of this urgent crisis we need to do more to pressure stubborn corporations like McDonald’s and our governments to end plastic pollution.
We need more people power -- and that means the support of people like you.
Will you please chip in to stop companies from destroying our planet?
