The European Commission is considering a new plan that would challenge government’s basic abilities to protect us from environmental destruction, human rights abuses, and public health threats.
The Commission proposes a Multilateral Investement Court that would allow corporations to sue governments over rules they don't like -- a parallel justice system millions of us have been fighting against with our protests against TTIP and CETA.
Corporations shouldn’t have more power to sue governments that try to protect national parks from becoming oil wells, or to stop health regulations that tackle tobacco addictions.
With public consultation on the plan ending this Wednesday, we need to make it loud and clear: we don’t want this court!
