The so-called "success regime" that's taken over health services in three regions is the next step in
Tory plans to tear the NHS apart and auction off the pieces to the highest bidder.
NHS regulators have
seized control of health services in Essex, North Cumbria, and North, Eastern and Western Devon. This is the first time whole regions and multiple trusts have been taken over at once to make devastating cuts.
Earlier this year, David Cameron sold off a massive chunk of our NHS, in the largest healthcare privatisation deal in UK history. The contract handed over a whopping £780 million to private firms with shoddy care records and strong links to the Tory Party, to carry out sensitive procedures like heart operations on the public purse.
Ever since the Tories won majority in parliament, our public services are being shut down and sold to the highest bidder. They think they can get away with tearing at our precious healthcare, but
we are proving them wrong.
Sign the petition to save the NHS -- ask the Tories to end the "success regime" and cancel shoddy business deals privatising our precious healthcare!
Since the election, the Tories haven't wasted time furthering their agenda to destroy our most important institutions.
This attack on our public services must be stopped, before we no longer have an NHS to rely on. That's why we have to let the government know now that we've seen through the lies -- and we'll come together and fight any plan to kill the NHS!
The sell-off of the NHS is actually meant to correct a horrible backlog created by privatisation in the first place.
In just one example of how bad the Tory's NHS deal is for anyone other than the corporations and their Tory friends involved, health services firm Vanguard has won £160m to undertake surgical procedures including heart operations. But
the same company is facing legal action over botched eye operations under another NHS contract. An NHS report found that operations performed by Vanguard were "rushed", and the results were so bad the contract was cancelled after just four days.
This needs to stop. Over 120,000 SumOfUs members have spoken up against the government's NHS privatisation scheme already. Now we need to take Cameron's 'privatisation isn't happening' refrain and make sure everyone knows the truth: it's happening, and at a pace and scale that is positively alarming.
Let's tell the Tory Government to scratch the "success regime" and stop selling off our precious health care service to the highest bidder. Defend the NHS!
