Just last week a Murdoch paper splashed an editorial saying “Warming is good for us” across the pages of the Australian newspaper Herald Sun. Lies like these confuse the public and justify government inaction.
But cracks in the once untouchable Murdoch empire are showing: The media is condemning him, celebrities are berating him -- even his own son has blasted the tycoon for his reckless attitude!
Now is our chance. Murdoch’s one vulnerability is money. Newspapers are already losing advertising to social media. If we can convince companies like Ikea and Expedia to stop advertising with Murdoch, we might see Murdoch’s climate-denying hacks finally retired.
