#MeToo is forcing a much-needed national conversation about sexual harassment and assault. Countless victims of sexual violence have come forward to bravely share their stories, showing that no man’s fame or fortune makes him immune from the consequences of allegations. But what about Donald Trump?
We all know Trump was caught on tape bragging on the set of Access Hollywood about sexually assaulting women. But multiple TV producers say there’s even worse footage from years of The Apprentice outtakes. And MGM is standing in the way of releasing the tapes and holding Trump accountable.
16 women came forward last year to share their stories of Trump’s sexual harassment and assault against them. And while NBC, CBS, Netflix and more have taken sexual assault allegations seriously by firing perpetrators, MGM is protecting Trump. Let’s come together to pressure MGM to release those tapes.
Tell MGM to release the tapes so we can hold Trump accountable for his sexual and racist abuse.
It’s been a year since the Access Hollywood story broke, and since Trump apologized for his comments. But the President is already calling “alternative facts,” now claiming that he and his team believe it wasn’t his voice on the tape.
Meanwhile, Trump has effectively endorsed Republican candidate for Senate Roy Moore, despite three counts of alleged sexual assault, including against a minor. On Moore, Trump said “He says it didn’t happen. You have to listen to him.”
MGM has the chance to stand with victims of sexual assault and provide new evidence of Trump’s history of sexist and racist abuse. According to one former producer, those tapes are “in some warehouse.” And the world won’t know the truth until MGM stops hiding Trump’s dirty laundry. That’s why we’re coming together now to demand MGM allow Trump to be finally held accountable.
Call on MGM to stand with the 16 women accusing Trump of sexual harassment and assault by releasing the tapes it owns of Trump’s sexist and racist comments.
