One of the richest football clubs in the world has just signed a deal with Tibet Water, a company profiting from China’s brutal military occupation.
Tibet Water relies on the Chinese military occupation of Tibet in order to operate -- it owes its profits to the repression, torture and denial of political freedoms that have become commonplace there.
China’s brutal occupation of Tibet should be condemned by all organisations -- instead Liverpool have signed a sponsorship deal with it. And despite protests from Tibetans and fans, the club’s directors are just ignoring this in the hope it all goes away.
Already Tibetans have been handing out leaflets at games, but if we all chip in we can go even further. Liverpool will play Chelsea on the 25th of November in a huge game - and we can pay for a billboard outside Liverpool’s stadium showing just how the club is supporting Tibet Water’s exploitation of Tibet and its people.
Please donate now to pay for a billboard to expose Liverpool FC’s deal with Tibet Water.
