Ncube’s childhood memories are filled with majestic white rhinos freely roaming the landscape – before poachers came and killed every single one.

Now, 20 years later, his village is fighting back – setting aside land and forming a counter-poaching force so that white rhinos can flourish here again.

It’s a pioneering scheme that could radically boost rhino numbers by creating a 500 sq. km safe haven in western Zimbabwe – but only if it scales up fast. 

If we all chip in, we can train and equip hundreds more community rhino guards, and boost efforts to bring other villages on board – helping turn this rhino graveyard into a conservation paradise. Are you in?
