Chase CEO, Jamie Dimon, is more concerned with his company's bottomline than the safety of our most vulnerable populations.
Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase visited President Obama in the White House 16 times. He has been an outspoken supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and wants to see undocumented workers stay in America and help build this country.
Oh, except he’s happy to work with Donald Trump on his economic advisory council if it means padding his bank’s profit margins. Too bad about the rumored homophobic legislation in the pipe and the illegal Muslim ban.
Let’s be clear: there is no neutral ground here. After 200,000 people deleted the Uber app from their phones, CEO Travis Kalanick resigned from President Trump’s economic advisory council. We need to send JPMorgan Chase’s CEO the same message.
It's time for CEOs to learn you don’t get to press pause on your principles when it comes to Trump.
We’re not afraid to call this what it is: pure cowardice. Some of the wealthiest billionaires on the planet are happy to collaborate with a president who openly supports war crimes and continues to pursue a travel ban against Muslim countries when courts in his own country have already struck it down as unconstitutional twice. Why? Because he will make it easier for the Big Banks to bilk their customers -- just like they did before the 2008 crash.
Trump is already positioning himself to reward Jamie Dimon and Wall Street for backing his administration. On Friday he began the process of rolling back Dodd-Frank, legislation critical for protecting consumers and keeping Wall Street in check.
These past few weeks have been some of the hardest we’ve seen in a generation—but the fightback we’ve witnessed has been nothing short of inspiring. A complete about-face from Uber. Millions marching on Washington in protest of anti-woman policies. Hundreds of thousands of SumOfUs members forcing advertisers around the world to yank their money from Breitbart News, Trump’s “alt-right” megaphone.
Jamie Dimon is vulnerable. We think we can get him to do the right thing and sever ties with the Trump administration. But we need real pressure.
Tell JPMorgan Chase if you collaborate with Trump, we're canceling our accounts.
