Welcome to SumOfUs, a global movement uniting together to demand that corporations put people and animals over profits!
Two and a half years ago, SumOfUs started a petition asking California to ban SeaWorld and other companies from imprisoning Orcas for the sake of profit. And we won! California just did exactly what 1.7 million SumOfUs members asked it to do -- to sign the “Blackfish Bill” -- and freed our whales from suffering.
We couldn’t have done it without our members. We funded activists to deliver your message straight to the California legislature, and we produced a video game to show exactly how bored a whale can get in captivity. But most importantly, millions of SumOfUs members shared the petition with their networks relentlessly until SeaWorld closed its orca program a few months ago, and California signed its bill.

In case you’re mulling it over, here are 3 reasons to join SumOfUs:
1. This is the make-or-break year for our fight against TPP and TTIP.
We’ve already seriously delayed the passage of these trade deals because of SumOfUs members. By joining us, you will help fight these dodgy trade deals that would give corporations everything they ever want.
2. We’re fighting hard for the ban of bee-killing pesticides worldwide, and we’re winning.
Because of the work done by the SumOfUs community and our partners, French Parliament just decided to ban neonics for good. But there’s more to be done: pesticide giant Bayer is suing the European Commission for its ban on neonics, and huge retailers in the US are still selling these nasty pesticides.
3. Together, we’ve already forced huge companies like Kellogg’s, McDonald’s, and Dunkin’ Donuts to adopt deforestation-free palm oil policies.
Now, we’re escalating against PepsiCo and Unilever, and we need you in this fight to win.
It's free to join, and you will get some interesting emails from us a few times a week about what you can do to take on corporations that are misbehaving! You can unsubscribe from them at any time.
