A global insurance giant is making millions from the suffering of Palestinians, as their homes are destroyed and their lives crushed by brutal occupation.
AXA has tens of millions invested in a weapons company and Israeli banks involved in the illegal military occupation of Palestine. The weapons company Elbit Systems is accused of making chemical weapons like white phosphorus, used by the Israeli army to kill and disable people, including hundreds of children.
If we want to pressure AXA to withdraw their investments, we need to expose the blood that it has on its hands.
We can do that with an explosive new report exposing AXA’s close ties to grave human rights violations in Palestine.
But we need your help to pay for these investigations, the publication and promotion of this report so AXA can’t sweep this it under the carpet.
Will you please chip to publish this explosive new report pushing AXA to cut ties with human rights abuses?
Previous research from our partners at Profundo revealed the ties between the insurer AXA and weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems and five Israeli banks connected with the occupation of Palestine. We asked Profundo to dig deeper and they discovered that AXA’s investments are on a huge scale - into the tens of millions.
After sustained public pressure from SumOfUs members like you and our partner from the Boycott-Disinvestment-Sanctions movement, AXA was forced to admit that they have invested in these companies. But they keep on lying about just how big these investments are.
AXA hides its investments because they are truly appalling: Elbit Systems is one of the world’s most notorious arms companies.
Elbit is accused of providing chemical weapons like white phosphorus, used by the Israeli army against Palestinian civilian population. This is totally prohibited by international law. It’s killed hundreds of children, as well as disabling many for life.
We need your help now to pay for these investigations, publish the report and promote it to journalists. People’s lives can’t wait.
Investigations like these and their publication are very expensive and full of risks -- because the rich and powerful don’t want people to know about stuff like this. That’s why we really need your help today.
SumOfUs member recently got Airbnb to stop registering illegal rentals of israeli settlements in the Palestinian occupied territories. This sends a strong message for all those companies collaborating and benefiting from the illegal occupation of Palestine. Today - with you help - it will be AXA’s turn.
Will chip in to help publish a report that will hold AXA accountable for all of their violations and push them to pull their dirty investments?
