The little-known Saola might be the rarest land mammal on Earth – and the scientists racing to save it are asking for our help!
Only 2% of the Saola’s territory – Southeast Asia’s rugged Annamite Mountains – has been properly surveyed. Conservationists say if they can’t find their way in – and find enough Saola to establish a breeding program – this beautiful species will soon be gone forever.
So to save it, they’ve built one of the most ambitious, specialised rescue programs ever seen, integrating Indigenous wildlife trackers, specially-trained detection dogs (who we helped fund last year!), and cutting-edge DNA technology.
But they don’t have enough funding to keep their team in the field.
Can you chip in to save this mysterious species from the brink of extinction – and protect wild places everywhere?
