Right now, 3,500 captive elephants in Thailand are shackled in chains and being left to starve.
When the pandemic shut down the country's elephant tourism, these elephants’ keepers no longer had the money to feed them.
Heartbreakingly, some starved to death…but then our friends at Save Elephant Foundation had an idea to save the rest: help the elephant owners transition from cruel circus camps to ethical elephant sanctuaries.
It’s working! At one former tourist destination known for its circus show, 53 elephants now roam free, no longer forced to give rides and perform all day. But each elephant’s food, care, and protection is expensive and the foundation desperately needs funds to keep the project going.
Together, we can help take off the chains, and allow the remaining elephants to thrive. Are you in?
