No one thinks, when they turn on their Google phone, that the government could be spying on them. Yet, this is exactly what could be happening across the United States right now.
WikiLeaks just released documents showing that the C.I.A is able to spy on citizens' devices, even if they have encryption on their device. This is a violation of privacy and should never happen.
Google has an obligation to protect its users from this breach of security.
Tell Google to secure its devices from spies immediately.
Google is one of the largest providers of cell service in the country and has access to the technology to protect its devices. Millions of people use its devices and deserve to know that their personal information is not being collected by the government.
Google presents as a good corporate citizen and values its public image. We can use this to pressure it to make the changes necessary to ensure the security of its devices.
By standing together with other concerned and engaged citizens like yourself, we have the opportunity to make Google lead the industry in protecting against government surveillance.
Please join me in signing today to tell Google to secure its devices from spies.
