Stop toxic law-breaker Formosa Plastics from trashing our air and oceans

We only have a few days left to stop a plastic disaster from raining down on the residents of St. James Parish, Louisiana. Formosa Plastics’ proposed plastics mega-facility will spew millions of tons of pollutants tied to immune, reproductive and respiratory disease, and will churn out 2.4 million tons of raw plastic every year.

Secretary Chuck Carr Brown and other officials at the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality have the power to shut down this nightmare project. They are taking public comments on the air pollution permit that Formosa needs to keep going -- but the deadline is August 12.

We need to tell state officials to REJECT Formosa's air pollution permit. With enough comments from our SumOfUs community, we can stop this mega-polluting project from trashing our air and oceans.
