Deutsche Bank is helping Australian coal miner Whitehaven secure finance as it builds three new coal mines that would pump out more emissions than the whole of Germany does in one year.

This is despite Deutsche Bank’s own policies stating it “will not provide any financing for greenfield thermal coal mining” and is committed to “phase out coal exposure by 2025 worldwide.”
