Energy Company EDF plans to build two new power stations at Sizewell on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.  The biggest construction site the east of England will have ever seen, it will sever the beautiful and peaceful Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in half during the decade or more the two reactors will take to build.

The impact on local communities and the environment will be huge. EDF will construct a temporary multi-storey “town” for 2,400 workers and dig three massive quarries, a mile from RSPB Minsmere nature reserve and even closer to the peaceful hamlet of Eastbridge. Transport proposals could see over a thousand lorries a day on a new road that runs far too close to vulnerable communities.

Please help us continue to build a storm of protest, to show EDF how many of us want them to change their approach, in order to give greater protection to this special place.
