Costco is bulldozing the world’s largest remaining forest.
Why? To make luxury toilet paper.
Loggers are sawing the forest down at a terrifying rate. The boreal forest covers over half of Canada and it’s home to hundreds of indigenous communities and billions of animals. But instead of bird song and the buzzing of insects, all you can hear is the howling of chainsaws.
Costco bosses are desperate to keep this under wraps. They need next week's annual shareholder meeting to go down without hiccups.
That’s where you come in. With your donation, we can get our team of Boreal activists there, at the meeting. We’ll put ourselves in front of every TV camera -- and every shareholder entering the room. Costco won’t stand a chance at hiding its forest-destructing ways. But to get the team there is expensive and I’m worried that without your help, this huge moment could pass us by.
Please, will you chip in to save this pristine forest from becoming toilet paper?
