A 16-year-old boy – not even old enough to legally work in France – was just killed riding a bike for delivery giant Deliveroo.
It’s the latest in a list of tragedies for delivery workers that risk their lives for low wages every single day…while Uber and Deliveroo executives get filthy rich off their work.
One small organization (CLAP) has been fighting for the last five years to defend delivery workers in France…with little to no funds. 5 years with 0 money! But they now have a golden opportunity.
CLAP was just given the chance to sit on a commission on workers’ rights with giant delivery corporations. The problem is…their volunteers, often delivery workers themselves, will be badly out-resourced by the companies’ well-prepared, highly-paid corporate lawyers and lobbyists.
If enough of us chip in today, CLAP can do everything it takes to be ready to take on these delivery giants – hiring staff, and training volunteers. Can they count on your support?
